About Auto Renewal Service:
If you have been using your Postal VISA Debit Card making purchases and overseas withdrawals more than 3 times in the most recent 7 months, no renewal application is required. Instead, your card will be renewed automatically and delivered to your registered address by mail 2 months before it expires.
To activate your new card, please go to the nearest Postal ATM with your new and current cards. Alternatively, you can bring your national ID card, passbook and authorized seal and new card to any post office. A foreign national must present a valid ROC (Taiwan) Resident Certificate (or Record of ID NO.in the Republic of China and valid passport). For branch-limited account holders, please return to your home branch.
Renewed Card Activation Steps:
Activate at Postal ATMs
1 Insert your old Visa Debit Card. 7 Set new chip PIN (6 to 12 digits) for the new card.
2 Enter the PIN of your old Visa Debit Card. 8 Enter new chip PIN (6 to 12 digits) again.
3 Select “ACTIVATE CARD WITH OLD CARD ”. 9 Set 6-digit Visa PIN (for overseas withdrawal).
4 Take out your old card. 10 Enter new 6-digit VISA PIN again.
5 Insert the new card. 11 Activate Online Transaction feature (if activated already, this won't be shown).
6 Enter the 6-digit default PIN of the new card; the default PIN is your birthdate in years of the Republic of China (for instance, if you were born on June 8 in the 77th year of the R.O.C, please enter “770608”). 12 Activation is completed.
Activate at Postal ATMs
1 Insert your old Visa Debit Card.
2 Enter the PIN of your old Visa Debit Card.
3 Select “ACTIVATE CARD WITH OLD CARD ”.
4 Take out your old card.
5 Insert the new card.
6 Enter the 6-digit default PIN of the new card; the default PIN is your birthdate in years of the Republic of China (for instance, if you were born on June 8 in the 77th year of the R.O.C, please enter “770608”).
7 Set new chip PIN (6 to 12 digits) for the new card.
8 Enter new chip PIN (6 to 12 digits) again.
9 Set 6-digit Visa PIN (for overseas withdrawal).
10 Enter new 6-digit VISA PIN again.
11 Activate Online Transaction feature (if activated already, this won't be shown).
12 Activation is completed.
Please note:
Renewed cards must be activated within 3 months from the month the cards become valid. If you fail to have your card activated, the new card will automatically be canceled.
Once your card is canceled, please visit a post office with required application documents. For branch-limited account holders, please visit your home branch. Alternatively, you can renew your card online through iPost or WebATM.
The renewed card will maintain the same features (such as overseas transaction or card-not-present transaction) as the old card.
