About Smart Pay
Smart Pay Overview:
Smart Pay is a default feature of Postal ATM/Visa Debit Card; no additional application is required.
You can make Smart Pay purchases at physical or online stores with a Taiwan Pay Logo display by inserting your card and entering your 6-to-12-digit chip PIN.
If Smart Pay purchases are less than NT$3,000, you can just tap to pay without pressing card PIN in certain stores.
Once the transaction is complete, the transaction amount will be deducted instantly from the passbook savings account of the cardholder. There's no extra handling charge and no need to sign on receipts.
No additional account statements for Smart Pay transactions will be mailed; cardholders can check transaction history on passbooks. Furthermore, Visa Debit Card purchase benefits, cash rewards and transaction limit adjustment do not apply to Smart Pay.

  • Whenever contactless payment amount consistently reaches NT$ 3,000, contactless payment won't be available until you insert cards and press card PIN to pay. Subsequent contactless payments are applied as well.
  • The maximum payment amount per day for fee payments, Smart Pay, designated/non-designated/interbank/non-interbank transfers via automated services is up to NT$1,000,000.
    Card Lost or Stolen:
    Cardholders must keep cards and chip PIN properly. In case of any loss or being stolen, it is necessary to report card lost for card suspended. Postal Customer Service hotline: 0800-700-365; from mobiles, please call (04)2354-2030 and call charges are applied.
