Expo ’74 World’s Fair opened on May 4, 1974 at Spokane, Washington, USA. In celebration of this significant international occasion, a set of two commemorative postage stamps was issued. The 1.00 stamp uses 〝The Republic of China Pavilion〞 as the central design; the 8.00 stamp depicts 〝a map of the World’s Fair Grounds〞 with the Chinese national flag indicating the location of the China Pavilion. In the upper corner of each stamp the Expo ’74 symbol is inscribed.
