　 To promote the protection of natural resources, this Directorate released a set of Taiwan Alpine Plants Postage Stamps.The stamps depict four species of alpine plants endemic to Taiwan flora-Gentiana arisanensis Hayata, Epilobium nankotaizanense Yamamoto, Adenophora uehatae Yamamoto, and Aconitum fukutomei Hayata. The four plants shown on the stamps were recommended by Dr. Ming-chou Lai of the Wildlife and Nature Conservation Society, and Mr. Cheng-hsiung Chang, an expert in human survival in the wilds.
