The 80th Anniversary of the Chinese Postal Service was March 20, 1976. To mark the memorial occasion, a set of commemorative issue was released. To demonstrate the progress achieved in recent years, the stamps take as motifs four major steps of mail processing-collecting, sorting, conveyance, and delivery-with new and old methods contrasted. The souvenir sheet (130 × 110 mm.) is printed with the four stamps arranged in the form of a block. The post office emblem is in the middle of the block.
