The wave-like symbol on the upper right of the card indicates contactless payments. Card number and validity (month/year) are shown on the front and/or back of various types of cards. Customer service hotline, signature column with CVV2 and account number are listed from top to down on the back. If there's an e-ticket image on the lower left, the nearby sixteen digits are its e-ticket number.

Benefits:
A Postal VISA Debit Card:
Not only possess Postal ATM card features, such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and Bureau of Labor Insurance inquiry.
Also Allows you to make purchases at physical and online stores worldwide where the Visa logo is displayed.
You can also tap to pay with your contactless Postal VISA Debit Card at stores you see a "Visa payWave" sign.
When travelling overseas, you can withdraw cash in local currency by entering your Visa PIN at Visa member bank ATMs. However, you may not be able to make overseas withdrawals at ATMs abroad depending on local banks' or ATM operators' regulations. You can also make Smart Pay purchases at a physical or online store displaying a logo taiwan pay icon by inserting your card and entering your chip PIN. If your Smart Pay purchase is less than NT$3,000, you can just tap to pay instead of inserting your card and entering your chip PIN in some stores. If cumulative contactless Smart Pay payments are more than NT$3,000, your transaction will be rejected. In the meantime, a SMS notification will be sent to remind you to insert your card and enter your chip PIN again to complete the current transaction. This will happen when cumulative contactless Smart Pay transactions are more than NT$3,000. (Smart Pay payments are not applicable for Postal Visa ATM card promotions and cash back)

Features:
When you make purchases with your Postal VISA Debit Card, the funds will be held on your available balance of your passbook account. If the balance is insufficient, card purchases may not be made. Thus, there won't be an account overdraft or revolving interest.
A Postal VISA Debit Card is not a credit card, and has no annual fee.
3D secure verification supported protects your card against online fraud on participating merchant websites.
Postal VISA Debit Cards have two types of PINs:
A Chip PIN (6-12 digits) is used for domestic withdrawals, transfers, and Smart Pay payments.
A VISA PIN (6 digits) is used for overseas ATM withdrawals.
A Postal VISA Debit Card is valid from the day it is issued, and purchase and overseas withdrawal functions will remain effective until the final day of the month in which the stated expiration date occurs.
Prior to expiration, we will notify cardholders for card renewal. If a cardholder fails to renew his/her card upon expiration, the purchase and overseas withdrawal features will be suspended on the card.
Use Restrictions:
Postal VISA Debit Card has no cash advance, and cannot be set for continuing transfers, installment payments, or recurring payments at ATMs. We will never instruct you to change any ATM settings by phone.
Postal VISA Debit Cards are non-embossed cards, which may not be accepted where offline transactions are processed with a carbon copy imprinter.
Automated Fuel Dispenser (AFD) transactions involve special authorization, which AFD merchants authorize a fuel transaction from an unattended pump by submitting the authorization amount as NT$1,500 (3 transactions a day only). The funds will be held on your available balance of your passbook account (not including time deposits in integrated savings accounts). Once the transaction is settled, the funds will be released and the actual amount of the fuel will be debited from the account.
You can purchase tickets on the Taiwan High Speed Rail Corporation's automatic ticket vending machines, with your Postal VISA Debit Card. Please select "Credit Card Transaction" with no service fee and you will enjoy cash back rewards during the next month. (If you select "ATM Card Transaction," an NT$15 service fee will be charged, and no cash back rewards.)
Where to Make Purchases:
There are more than 30 million Visa merchants in Taiwan and abroad, including shopping centers, department stores, grocery stores, gas stations and etc. Postal VISA Debit Cards can also be used for online, mail order, fax, telephone, and TV shopping purchases.

To meet your spending needs, you can temporarily increase your purchase limits, or permanently decrease your purchase limits:
1. Decrease purchase limit up to maximum of NT$20,000 per day; the monthly limit up to NT$100,000.
2. Increase purchase limit up to maximum of NT$150,000 per day; the monthly limit up to NT$200,000".
3. Increase purchase limit up to maximum of NT$150,000 per day; no monthly limit.
Please note:
After limit increase, the maximum purchase limit per transaction still remains NT$60,000. Temporary limit increase will be valid for 30 days from the application date.
To increase your temporary overseas withdrawal limits either:
1. Up to maximum of NT$100,000 per day; the monthly limit up to NT$300,000.
2. Up to maximum of NT$100,000; no monthly limit.
Please note:
After limit increase, the maximum overseas withdrawal limit per transaction still remains NT$20,000.
Temporary limit increase will be valid for 30 days from the application date.
Card Lost or Stolen:
If your Postal VISA Debit Card is lost or stolen, please report a lost card immediately to a post office or our customer service center at 0800-700-365 (from a mobile, please call (04) 2354-2030; from overseas, please call +886-4-2354-2030.) and promptly apply for card replacement or termination at any post office. (For branch-limited account holders, please visit your home branch). A NT$100 replacement fee is required. See Required Application Documents.
SMS Notifications:
You will get real-time SMS notifications whenever your purchases at physical stores or overseas ATM withdrawals are more than NT$3,000; online purchases are more than NT$1. In addition, as long as the cumulative amount of same-day purchases reach NT$10,000, an instant alert will be sent via SMS as well.
Statement Delivery:
Your statements will be delivered or emailed at the beginning of the month once you have made purchases or overseas ATM withdrawals. If your contact information (e.g. mailing address or cell phone number) changes, please update it by visiting a post office or logging into WebATM.
Please remember to bring your national ID card, savings passbook, and authorized seal to a post office for change request; for branch-limited account holders, please visit your home branch.
