The PHILATAIPEI 2026 World Stamp Championship Exhibition is held from November 20 to 25, 2026, at the Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1. In conjunction with the exhibition’s Art Day, Chunghwa Post has selected “Cat Among Bamboo” by Shen Chen-lin of the Qing dynasty from the collection of the National Palace Museum as the subject of a souvenir sheet containing two NT$35 stamps. Shen Chen-lin excelled at both figure portraiture and nature studies, including landscapes and bird-and-flower paintings. In this work, bamboo and cherry branches intertwine, with lush grass spreading like a carpet beneath it. Three Siamese cats are depicted: a large cat crouches atop the rock, while two kittens wrestle and play. Their charming and playful expressions are lively and animated.
