In recent years Taiwan's handicraft industry has produced a great variety of handicraft items which reflect beautifully Chinese culture and arts. The industry has taken advantage of local materials and adopted modern techniques. Such items as embroideries, knitting, bamboo products, wood carvings, dolls, lacquer ware, porcelain and metal utensils have won wide acceptance in the markets throughout the world. To introduce our handicraft products, a set of postage stamps was issued.
