In 1996, the President and Vice President were elected by popular vote for the first time, marking a significant milestone in the development of democratic politics. The year 2026 marks the 30th anniversary of direct presidential elections. To commemorate this, Chunghwa Post has released a souvenir sheet containing one stamp with a denomination of NT$30.
