The stamps in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Chinese Postal Service have a flying goose and the map of China in the center, the former being the design of the first set of postage stamps issued in China after establishment of national post 60 years ago, and the latter being the design of a set of definitive stamps still in the press. The central design is encircled by eight small round frames showing, clockwise, a Postal Courier carrying mail on foot, a mounted courier, a mail coolie pushing a hand truck loaded with mail, a sail boat, a train, a steamer, a mail truck, and a plane to illustrate the improvement of mail transport facilities.
