Beginning in 1944 the postage rates were subject to frequent revisions owing to the fluctuations of the currency. Field Post stamps bearing no face value were, therefore, issued in one denomination for field post mail franking purposes and each stamp was sold at the same rate as the postage for a domestic ordinary letter. The design shows a postman as he is delivering mail to the soldiers stationed in trenches at the front. The wording 〝軍郵〞(Field Post) appears in a panel at the bottom.
