Taiwan is popularly known as a Food Paradise, famed for the rich variety of its particular cuisine. To highlight Taiwan’s unique cuisine, Chunghwa Post has specially issued a souvenir sheet of ten self-adhesive stamps, each valued at NT$8.
The design of the souvenir sheet focuses on night markets with the stamps portraying mouth-watering delicacies sold there, including tempura, fried chicken fillet with popcorn chicken, four-herb soup with guabao, pepper buns, coffin board, oyster vermicelli, Taiwanese sausage with sticky rice, egg cake, fried sweet potato balls, and wheel pies. The hand-drawn illustrations are vivid and colorful, showcasing the appetizing and flavorful cuisine of Taiwan’s night markets.
