Description
The national policy of the country is to build a wealthier, more harmonious and more peaceful society· To attain this goal, the government has expanded social welfare programs to raise the people's livelihood and to equalize the distribution of wealth· The two major social insurance programs are the insurance for Government employees, dependents and teachers which began in 1958, and the Labour Insurance which started in 1950· In recent years, with regard to social welfare programs, legislations have become more complete, policies more clearly defined and administration better organized· The government is now planning a comprehensive health insurance program that will cover the entire population by the year 1995·
