To lift the standard of children's art education and to mark the 8th Exhibition of Word School Children's Art held in the Republic of China, a set of stamps featuring Chinese children's drawings was released on August 27, 1977, the opening day of the Exhibition.
This set consists of four denominations. For their central design, the stamps take four Chinese children's drawings chosen from among the best entries displayed at the 7th Exhibition by the Chinese Association for Education through Art. Central designs of the four stamps are: National Palace Museum, Birthday of Goddess Matzu, Boats of Lan-yu, and Temple.
