Description

  For the promotion of the Chinese Cultural Renaissance Movement, a set of 〝Ancient Coins Postage Stamps (Issue of 1976)〞was released with four ancient coins selected from the collection of the National Museum of History.  The designs of the four stamps are described briefly as follows:

2.00  〝Kung Shou Pu〞 of the late Shang dynasty or early Chou dynasty (about the 12th century B.C.), 

5.00  〝Chien Tsu Pu〞 minted by the Chao kingdom in northern China of the Warring States period (481-221 B.C.). 

8.00  〝Yuan Tsu Pu〞 of the Tsin kingdom in the present Shansi province of the Spring and Autumn period (722-481 B.C.) 

10.00  〝Fang Tsu Pu〞 of the late Chin dynasty or early Han dynasty (about the third or second century B.C.).
