Four of Madame Chiang Kai-shek's landscape paintings were reproduced in miniature on a set of stamps released on October 31, 1975, the 89th birthday of the late President Chiang Kai-shek.
President Chiang, who passed away on April 5, 1975, was deeply interested in his wife's paintings. He wrote the foreword to four published albums of her work. And critics have placed her work in the forefront of Chinese painting today. These paintings selected for the stamps include〝Lotus Pond with Willows〞 〝Sun Breaks through Mountain Clouds〞〝A Pair of Pine Trees〞 and〝Fishing and Farming.〞
