Description
The system of communications is the artery of a nation. It is the bases of political, economic, cultural, and national defense reconstructions. In order to introduce the progress of communications achieved in Taiwan, a set of stamps was issued. This set of three stamps takes three pictures of communication as the motif. On the 1.00 stamp is the Microwave Systems and the Electronic Optical-reading Sorter set up for the Telecommunications and the Postal Services. On the 2.50 stamp the transportation facilities of transport planes, cargo ships, and the container piers are featured. On the 5.00 stamp is a train moving on a track with a car and buses on the highway.
