The Prompt Delivery Service introduced on August 1, 1956 for the delivery of urgent mail has contributed much to the social, cultural, industrial, and business development throughout the whole nation.
In order to acquaint the public with the new service for their use, the Prompt Delivery Service stamp was issued. The central design depicts a postman riding on a motorcycle for delivery of night mail after 10 p.m..
