The Asian International Invitation Stamp Exhibition Taipei '93 was held from August 14 to 19, 1993 at the CETRA Exhibition Hall in Taipei.To acknowledge the occasion, this Directorate released a commemorative souvenir sheet depicting an Ancient Chinese Painting〝Enjoying Antiquities.〞The painting done by Tu Chin, a native of Kiangsu, is in the National Palace Museum collection.
This exhibition consists of two parts. The Invitation Classes have 421 frames being the Special exhibits class and 121 frames being the Court of Honour from prominent stamp collectors of FIAP members whose exhibits were awarded gold medals and above in international exhibitions. The Competitive Classes have 504 frames from the native collectors.In addition, some exhibits of Offical Class and Literature Class also are invited for the show. In all, over 1,000 frames are for the occasion.
