Description

After the founding of the Republic by Dr. Sun Yat-sen in 1912, we Chinese went through the Northward Expedition and the War of Resistance against Japan, to realize the establishment of a modern and prosperous nation. After the national government moved to Taiwan, under the leadership of late Presidents Chiangkai-shek and Chiang Ching-kuo, the modernization movement we have been implementing over the past four decades has borne rich fruit and been praised by the world. The economy has boomed, and the people now enjoy a high degree of educational opportunities and political freedom. We look forward to continual and steady progress and the development of the country in the future.
