The Broadcasting Corporation of China (BCC), founded on August 1, 1928, was the first national network in China. Over the years, it has devoted itself to publicizing government policies, enhancing social moral standards, and promoting democratic values. Since 1949, the BCC has been commissioned by the government to engage in international broadcasting to provide the world community with correct, speedy, and impartial information about the Republic of China. Everyday it beams two sets of programs, the Voice of Free China in fifteen languages and the Voice of Asia in four languages, to the world.
