The late President Chiang Kai-shek was a great statesman of the Republic of China, and also an outstanding anti-communist leader in the 20th century. His contributions were so great that he has won the admiration of people throughout the world. To mourn his passing, this Directorate released a set of commemoratives on April 5, 1985, the 10th anniversary of his passing. The three stamps of this set depict: (1) portrait of the late President, (2) Tzuhu, President Chiang's temporary resting place, and (3) the main gate of Chung-cheng Memorial Hall in his honor.
