Description

To mark the 60th anniversary of the International Association of Lions Clubs in China, a set of commemorative issue was released on October 8, 1977. The International Association of Lions Clubs was officially launched by an American named Lion Melvin Jones (1879-1961) in 1917. In response to the association’s fresh concepts and lofty objectives, peace-loving people the world over are attracted and seek to join Lions Clubs.

The stamps take as the central design the emblem of Lions Clubs together with the ten major activities promoted by the Lions.
