Description
In order to acquaint the public with the great achievements of the National Revolutionary Army, a set of commemorative stamps was issued. The 1.00 stamp depicts President Chiang in military uniform on horseback as the central design with the entrance of Whampoa Military Academy in the background, signifying that the Academy was first established by President Chiang. The 14.00 stamp shows four cadets marching forward before the entrance of the Chinese Military Academy. One is holding the national flag; the other, the flag of the Academy, expressing the progress of the past 50 years.
