Description
In 1922 the Alliance Cooperative Internationale (ACI) passed a resolution to observe the first Saturday of July as the International Cooperative Day, beginning in 1923. The 40th International Cooperative Day was on July 7, 1962. To acquaint the public with the significance and the importance of the cooperative movement as well as the progress and expansion of China's cooperative business in recent years, a set of postage stamps was issued to commemorate the occasion.
