The stamps were typographed in black by the Union Printing Press of Chung Hwa Book Co., Shanghai with an overprint in No.5 Regular-Writing style characters 〝限東北貼用〞(restricted for use in Northeastern Provinces)below the national emblem and with the surcharged value at the bottom, all in black.
