Description

      In weastern Szechwan District 26 denominations of Dr. Sun Yat-sen Issue (2nd and 3rd Dah Tung Prints) were surcharged as domestic ordinary letter unit stamps with No. 5 new Sung typeset characters reading〝國內平信郵資每重貳拾公分〞(domestic ordinary letter postage per 20 grams) overprinted in two vertical lines, between which another character〝蓉〞(Yung, abbreviation for western Szechwan) was overprinted at the bottom in No. 6 Sung character.

  Eleven denominations of Dr. Sun Yat-sen Issue (Chungking C.E.P.W. Print and 1st Shanghai Dah Tung Print) and of the Postal Savings Issue were surcharged as domestic registration postage stamps in new No. 5 Sung style type set characters reading〝國內信函掛號郵資〞(domestic registration fee) also overprinted in two vertical lines, between which another character〝蓉〞was overprinted in No. 6 Sung character.

  Among the 11 denominations of stamps surcharged as domestic registration postage stamps, three denominations were not issue. Those were Dr. Sun portrait Shanghai Dah Tung 1st Print $100; London 4th Print $2,000; and Shanghai Dah Tung 1st Print $3,000.
