      The five Regular-Writing characters〝限滇省貼用〞(restricted for use in Yunnan) were overprinted in black in a horizontal line between the national emblem and Dr. Sun's portrait by the Thomas de la Rue & Co., Ltd., London.Such stamps are commonly known as〝滇省單圈小字〞(Yunnan Single Circle Small Characters). The peculiarites of characters overprinted are:(1) In the character〝滇〞(abbreviated form for Yunnan) the 3rd stroke(pointing upwards) is comparatively short.(2) The peculiarities in the other four characters are the same as those overprinted in the stamps for use in Sinkiang.
