The peculiarities of the surcharges in these three places are as follows:
(1) Peculiarities of London Overprint
1. In the character〝新〞(Sin), the second stroke in the right part〝斤〞is comparatively short.
2. In the character〝貼〞(affix), the 5th stroke has no projected point.
3. All characters are smaller in size (P-26).
(2) Peculiarities of Peiping Overprint
1. In the same character〝新〞(Sin), the large slanting stroke in the part〝斤〞is comparatively long extending downwards over the small dot beside it.
2. In the character〝貼〞(affix), the 5th stroke(a short horizontal stroke) is extended.
3. All characters are larger in size(P-27).
(3) Peculiarities of Shanghai Overprint
1. In the character〝新〞(Sin), the left slanting stroke in the right part〝斤〞is short, stopping at the small dot beside it.
2. In the character〝貼〞(affix), the last dot of the left part〝貝〞is separated from the part 〝目〞above it.
3. All characters are larger in size(P-28).
