Description
The stamps were overprinted in the center in black or red by the Printing Bureau of the Ministry of Finance, Peking in Regular-Writing characters read ing 〝限新省貼用〞(restricted for use in Sinkiang) in a vertical line measuring about 15.5 mm. long. The character〝限〞(restricted) was printed straight. Such stamps are commonly known as〝新省直頭〞(Sinkiang Straight Top Overprint).
