Description

Highlighting creativity for its first set of personalized greeting stamps, the Directorate General of Posts has chosen favorite phrases the younger generations use to convey greetings. The designs of these ten personal greeting stamps feature beautiful and colorful flowers. The greeting stamps have five themes: "Happy New Year," "Happy Birthday," "May Your Wishes Come True," "Merry Christmas," and "Congratulations." Each of these themes has two different designs. Each denominated stamp also comes with a place beside it that either consists of an unvalued stamp tab with a pattern that is a continuation of the one from the denominated stamp along with a Chinese greeting and its English translation or else a blank place to put one's own photo. These additional stamp tabs come free and one can post them alongside their denominated partner or just collect them. Senders can help bring people closer to each other by using these personalized stamps on special occasions to express congratulations, offer best wishes, or convey other feelings.

To accommodate the two types of creating these Personal Greeting Stamps, the Directorate is offering two methods for accepting customers' orders. The details go as follows:

(1) First type: One sheet each with 10 stamps and 10 identical personal photos: A total quantity of 300,000 sheets will be issued. In addition to the denominations, customers should pay an extra amount as handling charge for creating these photo stamps. For the first sheet, its selling price is NT$200 including denominations and handling charge. NT$370 is the selling price for two sheets and NT$540 for three sheets. (Please refer to the price list for other quantities.) There are five spots for accepting the orders of these stamps. They are as follows: Northern, Central, and Southern Regional Head Post Offices as well as Hsinchu and Tainan philatelic centers.

There are two ways for the customers to place orders: (1) Customers may go directly to the five spots mentioned above to place orders and (2) Customers may mail order forms with personal photos to the five spots mentioned above. The orders placed by mail will be completed by registered mail in return. The customers should pay additional postage for registered mails. (NT$20 for domestic mail, including Hong Kong, Macao and Mainland China; NT$50 for Asian Pacific Areas and NT$90 for European, American and other areas.)

Furthermore, to protect privacy and copyright, those who purchase Personal Greeting Stamps should abide by all relative terms and conditions in order not to infringe any others' rights. (Please refer to order forms for details.)
