Description
The contract for the printing of Map of China stamps (Lithography) covered a quantity of 200,000,000 pieces, but, owing to technical reasons, it was not fully carried out. The remaining portion of stamps was subsequently printed by typography process with the original design being engraved by Mr. Chen Lien-huei also by the C.E.P.W. with the central design in two colors (varying by denomination) and with a blue bordering frames.
Two kinds of stamps booklets were prepared and put on sale on February 20,1958. One, consisting of six 20¢stamps and twenty-two 40¢stamps with a value of $10, totaled 200,000 booklets. The other, containing ten 20¢stamps, thirty 40¢stamps, and six $1 stamps with a value of $20, totaled 100,000 booklets.
