Description
To show the faith of servicemen and civilians throughout the country in the recovery of he mainland, a set of stamps was issued with a design bearing the inscription〝光復大陸〞(recovery of the Mainland) written on the map of China.
The whole set consists of six denominations-the stamps valued 20¢40¢ and $1.00 being issued on March 1, 1957, and those valued 3¢10¢ and$1.60 on the 20th. The two higher denominations were printed on 80-lb woodfree printing paper and other denominations on 63-lb watermarked stamp printing paper perforations being made by electric comb perforating machine.
