Owing to the depreciation of the national currency since 1947, the postage-due stamps of 2nd London Print ordered from the Thomas de la Rue & Co. with $1,000 as their highest value became unsuitable for use immediately upon their arrival from England. They were given to the Dah Yeh Printing Co., Shanghai(上海大業印刷公司) for surcharging into higher value in No.6 Regular-Writing characters and Arabic figures in black in the center of the stamps by the typography process. The design is the same as that of the second Central Trust Print, but the lines are finer.
