PHILATAIPEI 2016 World Stamp Championship Exhibition will be held this year, October 21-26, 2016, in Exhibition Hall 1 of the Taipei World Trade Center. In accordance with the theme of “Environment Day”, Chunghwa Post is issuing a souvenir sheet with two stamps around the theme of hands joined to protect the environment. The designs follow:1. NT$15 stamp: Forests can protect the soil and conserve water sources thereby reducing global warming. The stamp, therefore, depicts a luxuriant green tree as a symbol of healthy ecology on land. Thanks to this protection all kinds of creatures flourish and the earth is full of organic life.2. NT$32 stamp: The oceans do not only contain rich resources they also serve the important function of regulating the climate. The many hues of coral and sea creatures symbolize how maritime ecology is full of vitality and display the variety of marine life.
