Shei-pa National Park, in the Shei Mountain, the north central section of Taiwan, is one of the five national parks. The park occupies 76,850 acres, covering most of the Hsinchu, Miaoli, and Taichung areas. In the park, there are magnificent mountains with high, steep cliffs as well as the flora and fauna. For residents to know more about the park, its scenery, and its natural resources, this Directorate released a set of four stamps depicting four of the most spectacular scenes in the park. They are Tapachienshan, Shei-san Landslide Scar, Shei-pa's Rugged Peaks, and Shei-san Shiah-tsuei Lake-the highest lake in East Asia.
