To help our citizens to know and to love our indigenous wild birds, so as to protect their habitat, this Directorate released a set of postage stamps featuring these birds in the streams. The set consists of ten 5.00 stamps. The ten species of birds taken as the motifs are： Formosan Whistling Thrush Myiophoneus insularis, Brown Dipper Cinclus pallasii, Mandarin Duck Aix galericulata, Night Heron Nycticorax nycticorax, Little Egret Egretta garzetta, Plumbeous Water Redstart Rhyacornis fuligiosus, Little Forktail Enicurus scouleri, Gray Wagtail Motacilla cinerea, Common Kingfisher Alcedo atthis and Pied Wagtail Motacilla alba.
