Consisting of two stamps, this set is the fifth of the second series of New Year's Greeting Postage Stamps drawn by Ms. Chuang Chu-mei. The abstract drawing, round in form symbolizing union and harmony, depicts an ox, as 1985 is the Year of the Ox reckoned by the traditional Chinese calendar. The souvenir sheet (78×102 mm.) is composed of two sets of the stamps.
