As our national flower, the plum blossom is the symbol of the character and spirit of our nation.Its nobility and resistance to severe cold, frost and snow reflect the unwavering and self-reliant spirit of our Chinese nation.Its form of three buds and five petals symbolizes the Three Principles of the People, the five ethnic groups which compose the Chinese nation, and the Five Branches of Power of the Constitution of the Republic of China. The Plum Blossom Movement is designed to carry forward a fearless spirit to gain for our country a bright furture.
