An anonymous artist in the Sung dynasty captured the lively spirit of young boys at play on a concisely executed horizontal scroll. This Directorate, to promote the Chinese Cultural Renaissance Movement, has, upon recommendation of the National Palace Museum, Taipei featured this scroll〝One Hundred Young Boys〞in a set of postage stamps which were released on November 12, 1981. The scroll's panoramic scene depicts the delights of childhood play-whether indoors or outdoors-in each of the four seasons.
