The International Year of the Child was designated to draw special attention in countries throughout the would to the well-being of the children, and to promote projects for the benefit of children which would constitute an intergrated part of economic development and social progress. To mark the campaign of the International Year of the Child, a set of stamps was issued with the designs of two children.
