To stimulate public attention in the preservation of wild animals and to introduce rare birds peculiar to Taiwan, a set of 〝Taiwan Birds Postage Stamps (Issue of 1977)〞 was released. This set consists of three denominations： 2.00, 8.00,and 10.00, depicting the Black-naped Oriole, the Common Kingfisher, and the Chinese Pheasant-tailed Jacana respectively.
