  To honor Dr.Sun Yat-sen's great achievement of establishing the Republic of China, a set of〝Dr.Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall Postage Stamps〞 was released. Located on Jen Ai Road, section 4, Taipei, the Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall was constructed with contributions from people of all walks of life in the Republic of China. On November 12, 1965, the 100th Birthday of Dr.Sun, President Chiang Kai-shek officiated at the ceremony of the laying the corner stone of the building. Construction was begun in March, 1968 and was completed on May 16, 1972. It was formally opened to the public four days after.  The 1.00 stamp shows the front of the hall.The 4.00 stamp depicts the〝Great Harmony〞in Dr.Sun's own hand.The 5.00 stamp features the statue of Dr.Sun at the hall. The Dr.Sun Memorial Hall at St.John's University, of New York is featured on the 8.00 stamp.
