　　In order to promote as well as to publicize sports activities, a set of 〝Sports Postage Stamps〞was issued on July 29, 1971, the inauguration date of the Pacific Region Competition of the 1971 World Little League Series which was held in Taiwan.This series comprises three denominations and uses features of baseball as central designs. Uniforms and features shown in the designs are based on the Golden Dragons team who won the Little League World Series crown in 1969.
