  Four ancient Chinese painting masterpieces were selected from among the Palace Museum collection as the central designs of this set of stamps, which was issued in commemoration of the inauguration of President Chiang Kai-shek for his fourth term (May 20, 1966). Detailed descriptions are as follows:2.50  〝Fishing on a Snowy Day〞 by an unidentified artist of the〝Five Dynasties〞 (907-960 A.D.). The original painting was in color on silk, measuring32.7 × 62.1 cm..3.50  〝Calves on the Plain〞by an unidentified artist of the Sung dynasty (960-1126A.D.). The original painting was in color on silk, measuring 54.2 × 97 cm..4.50  〝Snowscape〞 by Chu Yen a monk of the Sung dynasty. The original painting is a hanging scroll on silk in ink, measuring 52.5 × 103.6 cm.. Chu Yen ranks among the four most famous artists of the Northern Sung dynasty.5.00  〝Magpies〞 by Lin Ch'un of the Southern Sung dynasty. The literal translation of the title of the painting is 〝Ten Harbingers of Glad News.〞 The original painting is a hanging scroll on silk in color, measuring 97.6 × 173.2cm..
