The characters〝新疆貼用〞(for use in Sinkiang) in Regular-Writing style were overprinted in two vertical lines in red or blue over the rice stalks on the two sides of the stamps by the Printing Bureau of the Ministry of Finance, Peking. Such overprinted stamps were issued at Peking and in the Kirin-Heilungkiang Postal District on March 1, 1928, and in Sinkiang at a later date owing to the long distance of the mail route from Peking to Sinkiang.
