This first National Wealth Survey in the Taiwan area, scheduled to be carried out in 1989, is to collect data on inventories of tangible assets held by all economic sectors. Results of the survey will be used by the government as a major reference in drawing up economic development and social welfare policies. The results will also be available to private enterprises as important data in making decisions concerning their investment and management activities. This survey covers all four major sectors of the economy: households, enterprises, governments and non-profit corporate organizations. Assets to be investigated include reproducible tangible fixed assets, inventory stocks, and net foreign assets.
