To observe the 25th anniversary of the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) and the 30th anniversary of the China Productivity Center, this Directorate released a set of stamps. The stamps feature the emblem of the APO and that of the China Productivity Center, respectively. The APO was founded in 1961 in Tokyo, Japan; our country is one of the originators. The APO is an international non-profit and non-political organization. It sends experts to member countries to introduce new knowledge, new ideas, and new technology in production as well as in management for the many industries in manufacturing, agriculture, and service. Its aims are to accelerate economic development and to improve people's lives in Asian countries.
