　　The Sino-Saudi Bridge is a major construction on the North-South Freeway, one of the ten major construction projects of the R.O.C. in the 1970’s. The construction of the Bridge begun in April 1976 was completed by the end of October, 1978. To celebrate the completion of this major construction, a commemorative issue was released on October 31, 1978, the day of the opening of the entire length of the Freeway to the public.
