On July 4, 1776, the American people declared their independence from the control of the English king. Later, on September 17, 1787, the constitution containing the concepts of the new government, was adopted. Thus, this new nation-the United States-was founded in the form of a federal republic. For many years there have been cordial and friendly ties between the United States and the Republic of China. The two nations were allies in the World War II.The year 1976 is the Bicentennial of the founding of the United States as a nation. To commemorate this memorable event and to recognize the value of the traditional friendship of these two nations, a set of 〝U.S.A.Bicentennial Commemorative Issue〞was released.
